"The first couple of weeks of school are always a bit... bumpy. If your child’s bus is running late, if you’re still waiting on rider registration confirmation, or if you’re wondering whether your child can ride without a bus pass — we’ve built in a grace period for exactly this reason. In the meantime, bus drivers will not turn kids away.

 

Busses Running Late? We are sorry! We appreciate your patience as we deal with busses over capacity, construction, new drivers and new bus routes which lead to delays, increased wait times and uncertainty about when the bus will arrive. The first two weeks of school bus transportation can be bananas!!! We appreciate your grace.

 

Still waiting on your bus pass?? It’s all good, passes are not required for the first two weeks, so no student will be turned away. Bus Passes are being distributed in schools for riders who were registered before August 1, if your child hasn’t received one yet, ask at the office. Any riders who were registered after Aug 1, their pass is coming soon to a school near you.

 

If your child already has a bus pass, that’s awesome, they can start using it. Not sure how to use the pass? Ask the driver for help.

 

Not sure if you are registered, or still need to register? No problem!

Way back in Feb, if you indicated on your child’s registration form that you would require bussing then there is probably a form that you can fill out. Follow the steps below to check it out:

Login to PowerSchool Parent, choose SchoolEngage from the navigation menu on the bottom left corner of the screen. https://mhpsd.powerschool.com/public/home.html

 

Once you are logged in with SchoolEngage, please click on the student tab from the left hand menu and click on your child’s name. You will need to repeat this process for each child.

On the right hand side, scroll down until you see 2025-2026 Transportation Registration Application–current student. If the form status is approved, then you have registered for bussing. If the form status is incomplete, you need to click on the small blue box to open the form and complete/submit it.

If you followed the steps above and there is NO form then we want to help, please reach out to your child's school and we will get the registration process started.

 

So, please don’t worry, we are working hard to make sure the wheels on the bus go round and round. No student will be turned away and we will sort it out, the ride through the rest of the school year will be much more smooth."
