The Annual Education Results Report for 2024–2025 outlines MHPSD's progress, priorities, and outcomes across four universal goals: Optimal Learning, Thinking & Acting Inclusively, Wellness, and Truth & Reconciliation. The report, approved by the Board as presented, reflects a commitment to fostering an inclusive, progressive learning community through trust, courage, and collaboration.
MHPSD serves over 6,800 students across 17 schools, offering diverse programs and alternative learning pathways. The division’s assurance framework emphasizes stakeholder engagement, with feedback collected from students, parents, teachers, and community partners through surveys and committees. This collaborative approach informs strategic planning and ensures responsiveness to local needs.
Optimal Learning focuses on literacy, numeracy, and assessment clarity, supported by professional development and coaching support. Student achievement measures remain strong, with high education quality ratings and stable diploma exam results, though opportunities exist to further enhance engagement and motivation.
Thinking & Acting Inclusively is advanced through comprehensive school health plans, cultural celebrations, and targeted supports for diverse learners. Survey data shows improved teacher-student relationships and increased parent satisfaction with access to services.
Wellness is promoted through the Culture of Wellness Framework, mental health supports, and extracurricular programs like the academies and clubs. These initiatives foster positive relationships and healthy habits among students.
Truth & Reconciliation efforts include integrating Indigenous perspectives, expanding FNMI resources, and celebrating cultural events such as Kiskihkeyimowin. The division reports improved attendance and achievement for First Nations, Métis, and Inuit students, while continuing to narrow gaps with provincial averages.
Financial stewardship and capital planning remain strong, with transparent reporting and ongoing investment in school facilities. MHPSD’s holistic approach ensures that every student has the opportunity to thrive in a safe, caring, and inclusive environment.
