Home Reading Challenge
Mme Sinclair has organized and is hosting our very first READ A THON starting Monday, November 3rd.
Watch for a tracking sheet from your child’s teacher.
For our Kindergarten students won't need to complete a review, but are definitely able to!
For every book your child reads, they will complete a short book review. (Grade 1 and 2 would choose 1 book to write a SMALL review, and grade 3-6 would write 1 small review per book)
Once Mme Sinclair receives the reviews, you child’s name will be entered into a draw to receive a small gift!
Your child has library once per week. They are welcome to read novels, chapter books, mini romans, non-fiction, and graphic novels, and story books (for our newest readers). You are welcome to enjoy magazines, but they are not counted in our Readathon activity.
This event will continue over the next few months, leading up to Winter break. We hope all our students will be encouraged to make home reading an enjoyable part of their after school activities.
Please encourage your child to read 20 minutes per day when possible. Happy Reading!
